State Corporation ROSATOM has developed and implemented a broad array of anti-corrupt practices at its organizations which meet the demand of our society for combating corruption and theft. People are tired of general declarations about the necessity to combat corruption, theft, bribery that are not supported with actions aimed at eradication of this evil. The bet was made mainly on the police but it suffers from corruption no less than any other institutions and organizations. The decision of ROSATOM to fight theft from inside with the help and support of the employees is a real breakthrough. I’m absolutely sure that without this step we will simply lose our positions on the market and will not be able to compete with other major corporations working in the atomic energy sphere.
The other important thing that I’d like to point out is that now the emphasis is not made on punitive measures because they do not determine one’s attitude to property. Combating theft is a link in the chain of control over the company’s activity. Control is the main condition of production order and this is what we are going to achieve. The order will let us work more effectively and earn more which in turn will provide better living. I mean better living for everyone and not for particular individuals who increase their income to the detriment of others. This is a simple logic of life that lets us gain justice in the relationship between employees thus ensuring honest livelihood and labour which ROSATOM is emphasizing. Respect of your colleagues and your company is more effective than punishment.
I share and support this activity to uproot corruption not because it took some dire forms at FSUE “Atomflot” and requires extraordinary measures. The life does not stand still and constantly demands new ideas and actions from each employee. We must meet the challenges accordingly and always remember that only together can we fight and eradicate the disease that prevents dynamic development of our company.
